I've had to take a LOT of plane rides in my lifetime - most of them either cross-country or trans-atlantic. Several times, I've met some really interesting people and even ended up exchanging emails with them! But once in a while, you get stuck with someone who is either a) REALLY chatty and won't shut up, even if you give blatant hints, like short answers or pulling your eyeshade over your eyes or b) people who are completely silent the whole way, with no interest in making even the smallest of small talk. So my question is, if you're in for a long or short flight, which would you prefer - someone who is super chatty and eager to share their life story with you, someone who is polite but conversational without overdoing it, or someone who is completely silent and stone-faced?
I'm always trying to tack a nap on planes! I voted for completely silent.
I personally prefer conversational and friendly - it makes you feel a little bit more relaxed and you can commiserate when your flight's delayed/the movie's crap/the person in front of you
has their seat back to your nose, etc.
I'm one of those talkitive people--one of the most talkitive people
oh no, i didnt read the poll right--I sometimes talk...if I find a nice person I might chat. But I guess you know now that I love to talk and rant
No talk.. cos all i do is watch T.V on the plane or read a book i just bought
Not overdone, please.
I once sat next to a woman who's really talkative.
and finally I said to her "Nice talking to you, but excuse me, I have work to do".
All I wanted to do was reading!!
Honestly? Not talk. I am not an extrovert and would much prefer to stick my nose in my book, thank you very much, LOL!
I voted for stone-faced and silent. I'm pretty private, and usually when I'm traveling I prefer my iPod and laptop to conversation with a stranger. Unless it's a really hot guy. LOL!
Conversational and friendly, but sometimes I just want to relax with my iPod.

I voted for Conversational and friendly
