For probably about 10 years of my life, I've searched for the perfect cleansing gel for my acne-prone skin. Although I don't break out as often as I used to when I was younger, it's still a problem for me and I've tried everything from Cetaphil to Clearasil, to Neutrogena, to Clinique, to Proactiv ... and the list goes on and on. The problem with me is that when I use harsh chemicals like benzoyl-peroxide or salicylic acid on my face, it makes me break out even MORE because my skin is so dry - even if I follow up with a great moisturizer or moisturizing toner (believe me, I"ve been to a TON of dermatologists and estheticians. It wasn't until I recently had laser facial rejuvenation done (sounds scarier than it is!) to remove some of my old acne scars that I discovered Dermalogica products, which were recommended to me by the person who did my facial. It has seriously changed my life. Developed by the International Dermal Institute, this cleansing gel include soothing ingredients like balm mint and lavender extract that really calms your skin while removing impurities and excess oils - it never leaves my face dry and my skin thanks me for it! The line is quite costly however, with the gel itself retailing at $46 (I also use the multi-active toner and active moist moisturizer), but if you've been looking for a solution for a looooong time, this will fix your problems and make them stay gone.
Good for you girl
On a side note, look at you posting stuff today after not being on here in SOOO long
hehe
Romaniagrl - first of all, congrats on your baby ... I saw your Chatter!
Secondly,
it's so great to hear that someone else has tried and had success with Dermalogica - and it does last a long time. I have a sample of the Dermal Clay cleanser and will have to try it, along
with the powder exfoliator. Where do you buy your Dermalogica products? I have just ordered some from a site called whatgreatskin.com, but I'm wondering if you had any other suggestions.
Tchan - I haven't seen you on here for forevvvvvverrrrr!!! How ya doing girlie??? I'm flying back to London next week to start work, but am enjoying my last few days at home, so I'm definitely spending a lot more time here on Popsugar!
Yea, I haven't posted anything in like forever. But I'm on here pretty regularly reading posts and what not.
congrats on baby-heared alot of good things about this so realy want to try it now xx
Ooh I have an update on my www.whatgreatskin.com order - if you order Dermalogica products (from the US), order them from this website! They are fantastic and they sell Dermalogica at a discounted price from the suggested retail value, plus they offer free samples of whatever you request AND shipping is free for orders over $50. Mine arrived within two days and I was really happy with their service. They are a registered Dermalogica retailer, and are actually a subsidary of a spa in CA.
tchan - yup, I'm in the US at the moment, getting ready to leave next week! Once I'm back there though, I doubt I'll have time to be on here blogging, etc.
i love this stuff and have been using it for about a year now.

I have the same skin issues as you do... even at 33. In fact my skin was nicer as a teenager. I have used the dermalogica products and also loved them. I, however, used the Dermal Clay cleanser, which I like also. I also recommend to you the powder exfoliator... it's awesome. They may be expensive, but they last a looooong time, right? I always thought so with mine.
